With standards in motorcycle servicing continuing to rise, having a workshop that is clean, tidy and functional is essential in creating the right image. Whilst it may be easy to re-organise and clean a system that is already in place, workshop experts Dura are helping major servicing centres to improve and expand their facilities with the ‘integrated workshop system’. As a chosen supplier for Harley Davidson, Ducati and BMW, Dura have become renowned across Europe for creating tailor made workshops that are designed around the exact requirements of the client and the technicians that use them.
Such is the quality and flexibility that the Dura system provides that it is now being used by many motorcycle workshops within the UK including Crawley based P&H Motorcycles. As a major reseller for many of the most prestigious motorcycling brands, P&H have gained a long standing reputation for the quality of their bikes and servicing standards and yet until recently their workshop has failed to reflect this level of quality.
As a result of the poorly designed solution that P&H Motorcycles had, they have used Dura’s design expertise to take the quality of their servicing department to the next level. Designed to create a state of the art servicing bay for each technician, the new workshop has vastly improved productivity and efficiency and has allowed P&H to vastly improve the image of their brand and the ergonomic impact on technicians. The new solution included a bespoke range of cabinets, helping to deliver a design that vastly improved servicing levels throughout the workshop and improves profitability.
When asked about how the new fit out had improved servicing levels, Managing Director Paul Searle said,
“When we were trying to find the perfect supplier to fit out our new workshop we did a lot of research to make sure we sourced the most effective solution on the market. Whilst we had a look at other suppliers such as Bott and Lista, we chose Dura because of their reputation within the market and because of robustness of their solutions.
The service that we received from Dura has been excellent from start to finish and the work they have done in creating our new workshop is fantastic. Not only have they allowed us to improve our service levels and brand image but they have vastly improved the morale of our staff. We now have a workforce that takes pride in their work and in the cabinets that they are using and without Dura I don’t think this would have been possible.”
